Make THIS (SHIT) Happen

"I don't care how you do it....the Minister wants it.....Make THIS Happen..."

Amazing how the words "THIS" and "SHIT" is just a slip of arrangement and how it reflects the undertakings of public office when some event / policy is implemented in a haste......How a simple mistake, a simple slip of the keyboard, a simple oversight or undersight may actually cause SHIT to happen instead.

It is beyond baffling how Ministers are elected to portfolios. How does one decide which elected representative best take office in a Ministry? And while it is not an ideal world (where the relevant Ministry is held by someone of equal qualification), the very least there should be an assessment and/or accountability process whereby an unqualified (professionally) elected representative may be given a spell to prove their capability and if within that period the peers, subordinates or even the people should have a clear voice to present a vote of no confidence to get rid of the aberrant creature before it becomes cancerous.

It would have been more interesting if there were public documents, which give these politicians a fair chance of self assessment and be accountable for the office that they hold.

Perhaps someday there will be a document which may read as such:

"I the undersigned hereby declare that I hold a competency level of ______ (1 to 10) and would require a non-extendable time frame of ______ (6 to 12 months) to achieve a minimum competency level of 8 and I will be responsible and accountable for the actions and inactions of my competency while holding this public office"

Ha.....it's about time we stop the trend of having the "Blind" lead the sighted (both with fore-sight and with insight).
