In Darkness I Prevail

I stand alone in the dark of the night
I shine I glow with my spark so bright
The abysmal night engulfs my room
What remaining light may fade too soon

I shine alone and look about
Casting shadows afar to quell my doubts
How the world would be devoid of me
Or am I just a dispensable accessory

"Oh dispel these thoughts" i tell my mind
Embrace these darkest hours, for I shall find
That I shine brightest in the blind of the night
It's daylight I fear I shall fade out of sight.
